How can you help?

Mothers of Africa is currently fund raising on two fronts: in support of the fight against the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19 and to continue our commitment to improve the educational facilities in the Chongwe District of Zambia. Please consider a donation to one or both of these projects. Your donation will make a difference to the lives of women and children in Chongwe.

We are currently supporting Chongwe District Hospital in its fight against the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19. Our colleagues in the hospital are currently asking for basic supplies of soap. A donation of £300 (Euro 350) will purchase enough bottles of bacterial hand wash to last the hospital a whole month. Your donation will go directly to the people on the ground in Zambia.

Following the successful completion of the project to build four new classrooms and a teachers’ office at the Evergreen Primary School at Kanakantapa, in Chongwe, Zambia, plans have been drawn up for a much-needed kindergarten at the school.
Fundraising for this project is, in-part, being supported by the White Feather Foundation and a donation to Mothers of Africa made through their Just Giving page will be matched by the Foundation. The build, which was originally scheduled for the summer of 2020 has been rescheduled for 2021 following the Coronavirus pandemic.
